The Los Angeles Lakers just signed LeBron James to a two-year extension this offseason. The Purple and Gold signed the player despite him entering his 20th season at age 37. LeBron James is still one of the best players in the NBA, but according to the Dallas Mavericks owner, Mark Cuban, the lakers signed James because of his popularity.

The Lakers' new extension for the ‘King’ will give him $97 million over the next two years making him the highest-earning player in NBA history. Last season he only played in 56 games during the season which was part of the reason why the team misses the playoffs.
