One of the first questions everybody had in mind after the Lakers made a movement in their roster by trading for Patrick Beverley was, what will happen with Russell Westbrook? Right after last season ended, it was reported that the LA franchise and the guard partnership was over, and the Lakers were going to trade him.

Still, not a single movement on that front, so now the speculation is of Russ playing another season with the purple and gold, but having now in the roster, his nemesis Pat Beverley didn't seem right. But for HC Darvin Ham, that's not a problem, as he has the perfect plan to make it work; at least, that's the idea on paper.

More Lakers news:

More than one NBA analyst and Lakers fans don't see it working, the idea of both players sharing the court at the same time, as both aren't great shooters, besides their feud, that at the moment seems to be a thing of the past.

But now HC Darvin has expressed confidence in both playing while focusing on defense: "I see them working together fabulously. Their games complement one another…If they play defense. We got a while; that's a ways off, but definitely. And people get caught up in the starting lineups a lot, but you look at who's finishing the games…."

Patrick Beverley stole the press conference.

The press conference spotlight was on the newest Lakers guard Patrick Beverley, who responded to different questions and showed his love for his new team. Pat even made a great comparison between the LA franchises, the Lakers and the Clippers, saying they are Day and night. Also, all eyes were set on Pat and Russ's interactions, but they made it look like all was good.
