After suffering another painful loss, this time against the Memphis Grizzlies, one of the worst 3-point shooting teams in the NBA this season, the Lakers weren't able to overcome their struggles and once again have lost to have a 4-game losing streak and a 2-9 record on their last 11 games since winning the IST.
It has come to this. What was supposed to be a season where they were expected to build off the late magical run they had last season has turned into a disaster. It’s been brutal to watch as a fan. Honestly, fans have been dreading their games as of late because it’s so painful to watch. We’re wasting everyone’s time.
What makes things worse is that since the 2020 championship run the LA Lakers have, Anthony Davis and LeBron James haven't been this healthy and constant. The Grizzlies both scored 30+ points only for the team to lose.
In the Lakers locker room, once the press entered, the faces of LeBron James and AD were clearly frustrated against Darvin Ham's incapacity to make the right calls and their teammates not measuring to what they were signed this offseason.
Darvin Ham on the Lakers slump: "They're just ready to be done with this...Done with this slide. Obviously, no one wants to lose. Everyone is going to nitpick at me, the players, the staff, we have to block out the noise."
