A huge win that was unthinkable even for the most optimistic Lakers fans is what happened on Thursday night where LA got to beat the number one team currently in the NBA, the Boston Celtics, to make things better and more impressive, they did it without their two superstars and best players as Anthony Davis and LeBron James sat out this one because of their injuries.

Austin Reaves and D'Angelo Russell were the two players that took the lead role, and the shooting guard even was so great that had a career-high performance in 3-point shooting as he scored seven from a long distance.

Reaves had 32 points, 10/18 FG, 7/10 3-PT, 5/7 FT, 2 rebounds, and 3 assists with +16 in the plus/minus performance. With these games, Austin Reaves joins Kobe Bryant as the only two Lakers players in franchise history to have 32+ points and 7+ 3-pointers against the Celtics, which is impressive.

What Reaves and Kobe did is something that other purple and gold greats weren't able to do, legends like LeBron James, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, and more. Reaves is quickly becoming one of the faces of this Lakers team and he is looking to win a championship title alongside AD and LeBron.

The Lakers beat the Celtics without LeBron James and AD

The LA Lakers got a key win against the Boston Celtics, a victory that will help to get momentum after many struggles and uncertainty, with Austin Reaves giving a career-high performance from 3, scoring seven shots from distance and stepping up in the absence of LeBron James and Anthony Davis. The whole team showed what they are capable of besides being called an awful roster without depth. The team was shorthanded with four absences and Vanderbilt leaving early due to an on-game injury.
