First, it was Austin Reaves when being part of Team USA in his participation in the 2023 FIBA World Cup when he got the Lakers interested in potentially targeting for the future the rising star Anthony Edwards.

Now that Anthony Davis is part of the All-Star 2024 it seems that he is continuing the recruiting job Austin Reaves had with Team USA last year regarding the Timberwolves star who will also a participating in tonight's All-Star game.

Anthony Davis said at the NBA's All-Star Media Day: "I think the All-Star Game is made for Anthony Edwards. Like, the way he plays. Obviously his personality. He was just saying that he’s probably going to shoot all left-handed throughout the game. He wanted to make it fun and spice it back up."

Anthony Davis will be back to the NBA All-Star game after missing it for two consecutive years. AD is back and ready to show he is a true MVP candidate this year and should also be leading the DPOY race.

The three rumored superstars to become part of the Lakers

Although Perkins doesn’t drop a name, it can be assumed that it’s one of the star guards who have been linked to the Lakers in the past. The most likely candidate is Trae Young, who the organization internally believes can be had, though Donovan Mitchell and Kyrie Irving could be in consideration as well.
