The Los Angeles Lakers released their latest injury report update with some good news for D'Angelo Russell and the team following the reported "treatment" the point guard underwent two days ago that coach Darvin Ham first said was a tune-up procedure.
D'Angelo Russell is not on the Lakers' injury report for the game against the Denver Nuggets. So whatever treatment he underwent, he appears to have recovered from. This is the best news for the point guard and the team, as D'Lo has been one of the best players on the team.
The rest of the Lakers status report has Anthony Davis (bilateral Achilles tendinopathy and left hip spasm) and LeBron James (left ankle peroneal tendinopathy) are questionable.
Cam Reddish (right ankle sprain), Jarred Vanderbilt (right midfoot sprain), and Gabe Vincent (left knee surgery) are OUT. The Lakers have a key game, as they will be facing the reigning NBA champions and also will be the unveiling of Kobe Bryant's statue outside the Crypto.com Arena.
A recent report by NBA insider Bill Reiter says: "Sources tell @CBSsports that a complicating factor on whether or not the Lakers acquire an impact player in the next 24 hours is the belief within the organization they could have a chance to acquire Donovan Mitchell this summer. Knicks also could be in play."
