If the LA Lakers want to be able to make it straight to the playoffs and avoid the Play-In Tournament, the team needs to start winning today following the loss to the Golden State Warriors that heeded the All-Star break.

LeBron James had to sit out of the game at Golden State due to the treatment he got for his knee as he wants to be in the best shape possible for the close of the regular season and a possible deep run in the playoffs for the 2023-24 NBA season.

The Lakers' head coach Darvin Ham now has LeBron James back despite the fact the team is still shorthanded with the significant absences of Cam Reddish, Christian Wood, Gabe Vincent, and Jarred Vanderbilt.

Before the All-Star break, the Lakers' best starting five of the campaign have been D'Angelo Russell, Austin Reaves, LeBron James, Rui Hachimura, and Anthony Davis. After having Taurean Prince as a starter vs. the Warriors because of LeBron's absence, tonight, Ham can return to that lineup to get back where they left things for the All-Star break.

Lakers LeBron James will be facing the Spurs Victor Wembanyama

The rookie Victor Wembanyama has been the sensation in this NBA season but tonight he will be facing the oldest player in the league, LeBron James who is 39 years old but keeps giving his best in his year 21.
