One of the biggest questions of the last few years, with the end of LeBron James' career getting closer each season has been, who will be considered the face of the NBA. The Lakers superstar has been dominating the league for 20 years and has been the face of it for that long.

The Lakers icon Shaquille O'Neal has recently come out to give his two cents about it by revealing the player he considers will be owning the league once LeBron James and other superstars retire but isn't a purple and gold player.

Shaquille O'Neal spoke on Tyrese Haliburton: "In four or five years, when those guys are gone, the league should belong to him." The Indiana Pacers superstar has shown what he is capable of this season and gave some trouble to the Lakers in the In-Season Tournament Final.

Tyrese is still 23 years old, which comes to show he does have a lot of potential to become a superstar and maybe like Shaq says, become the new face of the league for years to come. In 4-5 years Haliburton should be in his prime.

LeBron James doesn't know who will be the next face of the NBA

“I don’t know, because when I came into the league, I didn’t look at myself as the face of anything,” LeBron noted. “I didn’t look at myself as the next Michael or the successor to Michael. When I came into the league, the first thing that I thought about was I have to start over now. “I have built my rep in high school from my freshman year to my senior year, from being a 14-year-old freshman, I was 6’2″, 180 pounds, and I was like, okay, how can I make a name for myself at St. Vincent-St. Mary, all the way to my senior year, where I was the number one player in the country. That’s the same thing I did when I got drafted.”
