The Los Angeles Lakers have been struggling most of the season but also have shown some of their best sides in the season, like when they won the In-Season Tournament and got victories over contending teams like the Suns, Knicks, and especially the best team in the league at the moment the Boston Celtics, to make it more impressive in that game, without LeBron James or Anthony Davis.

While many in the NBA media believe the Lakers won't win this season's title, there are 5 reasons the purple and gold fans should feel optimistic. The first one is that coach Ham finally found a great starting five, one that brings last season's continuity with D'Angelo Russell, Austin Reaves, LeBron James, Rui Hachimura, and Anthony Davis.

The 2nd reason is that LeBron James and Anthony Davis have been healthy for the most part and bringing some of their best performances since the 2020 championship title which always helps the group to elevate their game as a whole.

The third reason is the new addition of point guard Spencer Dinwiddie, while it doesn't move the needle, it just helps to have another option at playmaking and shotmaking, especially with PG Gabe Vincent still out for a while. The fourth reason is precisely that the injured players will be starting to recover and returning and hopefully, the team will be healthy and on their best level to close the regular season and have a deep playoff run.

The Lakers upcoming schedule is good news for the LA Lakers

It has been a rough season so far for the Lakers in the sense that they have been struggling with injuries and fatigue being the team with the most number of back-to-backs in the season and having played a lot of time outside LA. But for the rest of the campaign, LA has a home-heavy upcoming schedule, having most of their remaining games to be hosted at home.
