We are heading to the last stretch of the season where every win counts, and the LA Lakers need to give their best effort in every single game using their best available players and this Thursday's night game against the Golden State Warriors won't be different.

But, LeBron James is still recovering from the ankle injury that made him miss the game against the Utah Jazz before the All-Star Break. The bad news for the team is that the superstar is absent from today's practice, even when is an excused absence as LeBron revealed he recently got treatment.

While James wasn't at practice today, he will meet the rest of the team in San Francisco, so while he will be questionable he could end up playing the game. The team will need him if they want to beat Curry and Co. Especially after the last encounter between the two teams having a 2nd overtime before LA barely got the win.

The other conserning absence was the coach Darvin Ham who wasn't present according to NBA insider Jovan Buha of The Athletic. Buha reported that it is a personal matter, but having two critical absences for today's practice is concerning for a team that needs to be at their top level for the rest of the season.

LeBron James doesn't know who will be the next face of the NBA

“I don’t know, because when I came into the league, I didn’t look at myself as the face of anything,” LeBron noted. “I didn’t look at myself as the next Michael or the successor to Michael. When I came into the league, the first thing that I thought about was I had to start over now."
