Team USA got their first win on their FIBA World Cup debut yesterday morning, and tomorrow will have their second-stage group game vs. Greece.

Austin Reaves has been a key player in the first game vs. New Zealand, as he came off the bench to help the team when they were trailing 4-16 to cut the distance with assists and scoring.

Reaves has been seen to be close to Anthony Edwards and especially with Mikal Bridges who is probably his BFF inside the Team USA locker room, and now the Nets star has jokingly said about Reaves "I Don't like him, I don't like his a--. It's gon' be like that."

Bridges quickly doubled back on those comments, sharing how he and Reaves hit it off almost immediately, becoming close on Team USA “But, I think just the personalities and stuff – I don’t know, I think it was just – the first day it was just he’s cool and just stupid making jokes and stuff,” Bridges said. “And it just built from there. He’s a nut. He’s a goof. Just know that. It’s always him. He plays too much. I play around and make some jokes too.”

Reaves could help bring new players to the Lakers in the future

It’s great to see Reaves not only making a contribution to the team but building relationships with other good young players in the NBA as well. The Lakers could potentially use Reaves’ relationships to help them bring more players to the team in the future.
