The Los Angeles Lakers have many of the NBA's greatest players of all time, thanks to their winning and large history in the sport. A lot of the success the league has and also the winning record of the Purple and gold franchise is thanks to Dr. Jerry Buss and his signing of Magic Johnson which created the showtime era.

Since then, Magic Johnson has often been considered the greatest Point Guard of all time and one of the greatest players ever, but now that we are in the Steph Curry NBA era, thanks to his epic 3-point game, many believe things have changed.

Stephen Curry was in the latest episode of the Gilbert Arenas show when was asked "Are you the best point guard ever?" to the Warriors star's response of "Yes. It's me and Magic (Johnson) is that the conversation? I have to answer that way."

It's clear that Curry thinks of himself as the greatest PG of all time, as he won't be the overall NBA's GOAT, that debate goes for MJ and LeBron James, but even when tried to avoid disrespect towards Magic, he did, as he didn't show any modesty by calling himself the greatest Point Guard of all time.

The difference between Magic Johnson and Steph Curry

Magic Johnson won five championship titles during his career, and while Curry has won four NBA titles and is one behind, the difference is minimal and Steph is still active and young. But overall, the main difference between the two players is that Magic while dropping an average of 20+ points per game, he was more of a playmaker than Curry with the highest number of assists and steals. Curry is more of a scorer thanks to his 3-point scoring.
