A change of colors, the design for the new Lakers jersey has divide the fans

One of the best-looking jerseys in the NBA is usually the one the players of the LA Lakers wear, this time, the possible new Lakers City Edition jersey design has leaked, and it hasn't received good comments from the fans.

The leaked jerseys are black with some purple and gold details including the numbers and the name on the front side, which also has written Los Angeles Lakers around the number.

Some fans think that the jerseys are ugly and would prefer to see the black "mamba edition" uniform of the 2020 championship bubble. Or to bring back the throwback blues.

Even some from the media the leaked jerseys have received critics like CBS's NBA reporter Sam Quinn "Just wear the deep blue jerseys from 2021 this does not need to be this hard. I don’t know what market research is leading the league to the conclusion that scrapping nice jerseys after one year just to put out new, uglier ones is a good idea, but it isn’t."

Some fans defend the new Lakers jerseys

Not many, but there is a side of the fandom that believes the jersey look fire and clean. Not the big majority, but like always, there's no doubt that this Lakers City Edition will be bought by the fans.
