The Los Angeles Lakers continue their search to add a center for their 14th spot and have a backup ready as an Anthony Davis backup as they are looking to repeat the strategy of 2020 by playing with two bigs at the same time.

The name Christian Wood has been rumored to be the Lakers' first option for several weeks now, but with information by NBA insider Jovan Buha, the Lakers have made an offer for the vet min and the center is looking instead to have a bigger role with the Miami Heat.

Pelinka's second option is Bismack Biyombo but also the third option of the team is already inside the team, as Ham could upgrade to a standard contract with the rookie Colin Castleton who currently is with a two-way deal to occupy the 14th roster spot and become the backup center.

Castleton had some great performances in the Summer League and with a great training camp could show he is NBA-ready, just like Austin Reaves did two years ago.

The Lakers could go for another center option instead

After the three options the Lakers currently have, they could also bring back Wenyen Gabriel, or Tristan Thompson, or even Dwight Howard for a fourth stint.
