Earlier this year, Novak Djokovic won the French Open but one of the standouts of his victory was his comments on how he visualized the win by applying the famous "Mamba mentality" by Kobe Bryant.

Djokovic won moments ago the 2023 US Open, and once again brought Kobe Bryant, but this time, Novak's tribute to the Lakers legend went beyond as he brought a T-shirt with the No. 24 on the back and a picture of himself alongside the black mamba. The shirt read "Mamba Forever."

Novak is making history as he broke the record of winning his 24th Grand Slam and because of being that number, he didn't waste the opportunity to show love to Bryant. The tribute by the Serbian Tennis superstar Djokovic comes to show how Kobe Bryant has transcended sports.

The Lakers fans loved the tribute and got emotional, as it's always lovely and exciting to see how the time passes but Kobe won't be forgotten, as he keeps inspiring established athletes and newcomers.

Novak Djokovic spoke about the Kobe Bryant tribute

"I thought of doing this if I won the tournament, I didn't tell anyone. (Kobe) Was a close person, he always spoke about the winning mentality. Always that I needed it, I got his support. 24 was the No. he used when became a legend and I believe that was a nice tribute to ham him present today." Said Djokovic about winning his No. 24 Grandslam and making a tribute to the Lakers legend.
