ESPN's Stephen A. Smith believes that Anthony Davis is one of the best players in the NBA, when healthy, as he has been a big critic of his inconsistency and shape that has made AD injury-prone.
Now that the news broke of Davis' chances of joining LeBron James and other NBA stars on Team USA for next year's Paris Olympics, Smith believes the Lakers star should only commit to the purple and gold and makes a new rant about it.
On First Take, Stephen A. Smith didn't hold on and went after Davis: "I don't want to hear nothing about no damn Anthony Davis representing Team USA... I need to make sure he's going to show up for Lakers games."
Smith says that Anthony Davis is a superstar when he brings his A-game and when he plays. But Stephen believes that AD does not always bring his best game or is available, so is ludicrous to have him in an international competition because could be an excuse for missing more games for LA.
Because of his injury-prone nature, Anthony Davis could be one of the superstars to be affected by the new rules the NBA is looking to implement, as he would need to play more and won't be able to rest especially on back-to-back games.
