Austin Reaves gets brutally honest on 'recruiting' Team USA players to the Lakers

Without a doubt, Austin Reaves is having the year of his life as his meteoric rise has had a little bit of everything. This year Austin has been able to get a new 56M contract, a Team USA invite, a sneaker debut that sold out instantly, billboards all across LA, and even his first celebrity dating rumor.

Austin Reaves has made it, yet, he doesn't view it that way. And now that the Lakers guard has been playing with Team USA and building great chemistry with some of his teammates, NBA insider Jovan Buha has asked the guard about potentially recruiting any of them to join him in LA:

"Team USA has often been the place superteams are born. Is Austin Reaves recruiting any of his star teammates to join the Lakers in the eventual post-LeBron era? 'I can't speak on that. But I like some of the guys we're playing with. So... yeah.'"

So even when Austin said he can't speak on recruiting players to the Lakers, he accepted he kind of is and would like to keep being teammates with some of the stars in Team USA.

What has pushed Austin Reaves to be where he is now

Austin Reaves has opened up about what has fueled his desire to transcend "What pushed me to get here is the people who doubted me. I always have to keep that." For Reaves, winning the championship title is his main goal, and won't be satisfied.
