One of the most inspiring and latest successful stories in the NBA has come from the Lakers thanks to the scouting department and the hard work Austin Reaves has put into his career despite not being drafted.

The meteoric rise of the Lakers guard has him in two years being signed by the Purple and Gold, earning a spot in the roster, becoming a starting guard, the third-best player of the group just behind LeBron James and Anthony Davis, signing a 56 million four year max extension, released his first signature shoes to be sold out in minutes and received a call to be part of Team USA in the current FIBA World Cup.

Bot no one gave Reaves all of that for free, he has worked hard for all of it despite being only 25 years old, and the guard has become an NBA reality. He has revealed that he has earned it the hard way.

"I've never taken shortcuts, It's always been the hard path," said Reaves on signing a Max deal with the purple and gold and on having his signature shoe with Rigorer.

Austin Reaves is the top candidate for the Most Improved Player of the Year

The 2023-24 NBA season hasn't even started, yet, betonline.ag has revealed Austin Reaves as the favorite to win the MIP of the Year award. The Laker guard has been great after last season's trade deadline since he got a shot from coach Darvin Ham.
