Austin Reaves had a meteoric rise thanks to his breakout season, including being a standout for Team USA in the current FIBA World Cup, because of that, according to betonline_ag, the Lakers guard is now the favorite to win Most Improved Player next season.

Reaves is a Lakers fan favorite, but there's another purple and gold player the fans would love to see winning the award and believe has a better shot than the guard, Rui Hachimura.

Rui hasn't stopped putting up the work with Phil Handy, as the wing even stepped down from his Japanese National Basketball team to skip playing the FIBA World Cup to focus on amping up his game for the next season with LA.

The fans love all the effort and the work Hachimura has been doing with Phil Handy this off-season and because of that, they want Rui to win the MIP award.

After Rui's postseason performances the fan's hype continues to grow

Hachimura surprised everyone with how great he played in the playoffs in a coming-off-the-bench role, now that the wing hasn't stopped his workout, the fans are hyped for his new starting role with the team.
