The Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is known to be one of the greatest players of all time, but also he has been known to be a great mentor for young players and newcomer talent.

Austin Reaves has been one of the latest young players to learn from the King, and Reaves has revealed the relationship he has with LeBron and how he considers James to be the best player of all time over Kobe Bryant.

"I would start by saying in my personal opinion, even being a Kobe guy, he is the greatest player to ever play... How good he is at all facets of the game. I don't think anybody's been that good at everything... Not even basketball-wise... I can pick up the phone and call him whenever... so that's super cool... On the court, that's really where it all started. We connected early on an IQ level, just playing the game the right way."

There is no doubt that LeBron James and Austin Reaves are a good fit on the basketball court. Austin Reaves is capable of taking on a ballhandling role when James plays off-ball, and is also willing to space the floor for LeBron James as well. It is good to see that they have a good relationship off the court as well.

The moment LeBron James knew Reaves would be special and how their bond started

“I knew from the first practice that he wasn’t going to be two-way for long … I've been around the game long enough to know great basketball IQ players, and I know the type of players that fit with my game, and I knew Austin would be that right away." Said LeBron, revealing how both players' high IQs from the get-go make them bond on and off the court.
