The Los Angeles Lakers and Anthony Davis have just made history together with their newest extension deal in the latest breaking news that has the fans excited.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Anthony Davis is now tied to the Lakers until 2028 thanks to the agreed three-year extension. This shows the faith GM Rob Pelinka and owner Jeanie Buss have in the star despite the injury record he has carried in the past few seasons.

"BREAKING: Lakers star Anthony Davis has agreed on a three-year $186M max extension, tying him to franchise thru 2028 for a total of $270M-plus, @KlutchSports CEO Rich Paul tells ESPN. Davis lands richest annual extension in NBA history at $62M." Posted Wojnarowski on X (Twitter).

This deal now has Anthony Davis earning 2 million more per year than the previous record holder of max-extension signed a couple of weeks ago Jaylen Brown from the Boston Celtics.

Anthony Davis is now a Laker for life

It seems that Anthony Davis indeed will remain one of the faces of the franchise for the next few years. Pelinka is showing fate on the big player along with other core of the roster Austin Reaves and Hachimura who also were recently re-signed.
