Rob Pelinka finally brought in the third center to the LA Lakers roster as the big man Christian Wood has agreed to a two-year 5.7 million year with a player option.

The front office made no secret of their desire to bring in another big man before training camp and the former Maverick was easily the most talented one remaining on the market.

Recently was revealed that Anthony Davis requested to have more help at the center role as he wants to rest some time from playing at five for the team to stay healthy.

The Lakers have now revealed that with Christian Wood filling the 14 spots out of the 15 the team has available, the team is complete and ready to start training camp and the regular season. The 15th spot will be reserved for later.

The Lakers plan for the 15th spot available on the roster

According to Jovan Buha of The Athletic, the Lakers roster is likely set following the Wood signing: "Los Angeles’ roster is likely set for training camp with 14 players now under contract, according to team sources." The team prefers to have a roster of 14 players instead of the maximum 15, which allows for roster flexibility during the season. The team would be able to bring in an extra player in a trade or sign someone on the buyout market without having to sacrifice someone on the roster.
