The Lakers GM Rob Pelinka has it clear, the team is actively looking to add a big to their 14th roster spot, and recent reports had the free agent Christian Wood as the top option to sign, but it seems that the player isn't on the same page.

Today, the NBA insider Jovan Buha spoke in the Lakers Nation podcast about what is going on with Christian Wood, and it has given an update that isn't the most positive.

According to Buha's sources, Wood has interested in a potential role in Miami, which is not what Lakers fans wanted to hear, especially as Christian could be a good sub for Anthony Davis because of his offensive game.

Still, the Lakers continue to be a top option for the big to sign with, as the free agency market continues to run. Wood is waiting to decide while Pelinka and Ham are also studying their options.

The Lakers want to repeat the strategy that worked for them in 2020

Pelinka was opened about it, one of the reasons for signing Jaxson Hayes was to make him play alongside Anthony Davis to repeat the strategy that work in the 2020 championship title when they use two bigs at the same time in JaVale McGee and Dwight Howard.
