The Los Angeles Lakers have their roster set for training camp and the 2023-24 season, still, once the regular campaign starts, there's a player that could be traded, and that is D'Angelo Russell.

Russell came back to LA in last season's trade deadline and alongside other new faces then, changed the chemistry and energy of the team, helping the group to make it to the Western Conference Finals.

D-Lo had a lackluster performance in the series vs. Nuggets and couldn't prevent the team from being swept, which brought doubts to the organization whether the point guard was the right fit for the team, still, they decided to re-sign him a two-year deal, but his trade clause is no longer part of the contract as GM Rob Pelinka could be looking to trade him in the non-too distant future.

With that in mind, the website nbaanalysis.net has a trade proposal between the Lakers and the Bulls. In this proposed trade, the Lakers would be receiving Alex Caruso, Jevon Carter, and Andre Drummond, while the purple and gold will give the Bulls D'Angelo Russell, a 2024 second-round pick, a 2025 second-round pick, and their 2027 second-round pick.

Why the trade could work for both teams

The Lakers have the playmaker role guaranteed with LeBron James, also with Austin Reaves and Gabe Vincent on the bench, Still, bringing back Alex Caruso and de signings of Jevon Carter and Andre Drummond could benefit LA. The Chicago Bulls need a playmaker so it will be a no-brainer to have D'Angelo Russell on their roster. Still, it seems that Pelinka and Coach Ham won't be making big moves anymore, so this proposed trade doesn't look that feasible for not.
