Ever since the name Austin Reaves came out to be part of the Team USA roster that was going to play in the 2023 FIBA World Cup, many NBA fans started claiming it was going to be a waste of spots for a 'better' player.

It hasn't mattered that Austin Reaves has been one of the most constant and best players of the team since the pre-World Cup games to now the official games of the tournament, not even getting praise for different NBA players, the Team USA coaching staff and beyond, the doubters and detractors still believe, the Lakers guard shouldn't be on the team.

Now that Team USA shockingly lost against Lithuania,  Austin's haters and doubters have come out and wrote on Twitter that the Lakers guard sucks and it was the one to be blamed for the loss, not all the team, just Reaves.

Spencer Reaves, who is Austin's brother, told his former teammate, the Lithuanian player Vaidas Kariniauskas to trash-talk his younger sibling, but now has come out to defend him on Twitter by writing: "People really had 'Austin Reaves sucks' tweets just waiting in the drafts for a bad game."

After Kariniauskas comments, Spencer wants a Team USA vs. Lithuania rematch

Spencer Reaves also posted on Twitter: "I need a rematch in the finals! Good win today for my boy V! USA gonna bounce back!" This shows, Spencer is just defending his brother Austin and does want Team USA to get the gold.
