One of the main reasons the Lakers failed to stand up against the Nuggets was size, and Mo Bamba was out of the postseason for the most part, leaving only Wenyen Gabriel and Tristan Thompson as the backup for Anthony Davis.
There's no doubt Bamba will be leaving, as the big center failed to meet expectations; even in Game 4, he was absent while Tristan Thompson got some minutes on the court to help the team.
Now the Lakers' front office could look for Top Centers available this off-season. While LA will probably have difficulty convincing Brook Lopez to leave the Milwaukee Bucks, he should be coach Ham's first call.
The other names the Lakers should go for are Nikola Vucevic, Jakob Poeltl, Christian Wood, Mason Plumlee, and Naz Reid. Every single one of them is earning less than 25 million.
Naz Reid on the MLE would be an excellent fit with AD in the frontcourt. He provides enough range as a shooter & rim protection (7'3" wingspan). Brook Lopez didn't leave LA on excellent terms, so it is highly doubtful he would come back, but he would have to play a minimized backup C role.
