While LeBron James is the only active NBA player to have a net worth superior to the one billion, there's a Lakers star whose current fortune is about five million dollars.

Still, Jarred Vanderbilt is one of the players that gives himself to the people and love helping on big causes for people that needs it. The LA's forward Vando, is back home in Houston for his backpack and school supply giveaway.

This is the 3rd year Vanderbilt has set up this event to give back to the community. Currently Jarred has a five million net worth, but he will make around 4 million for this current season.

Vando could be signing an extension before training camp starts, which will probably be giving a bigger salary, as he deserves it after helping the team in the last season to make it to the WCF.

Rui Hachimura will 'steal' the starting role from Jarred Vanderbilt

Since the trade deadline signing of Vanderbilt, the forward has been the starter, but that could change as recent reports by the NBA insider Jovan Buha had Rui Hahcimura as the most probable starting wing.
