LeBron James and Anthony Davis led the LA Lakers to win the 2020 NBA championship title in the bubble, but there was also a third star that was as important for the win, being the guard that the best chemistry has had in the Bron and AD era, Rajon Rondo.

Rondo is now a two-time NBA champion, he is known not only because of his skillset but also because of his high IQ and that's how Rajon has compared himself with LeBron James and Kobe Bryant.

Rajon Rondo says Kobe and LeBron were the only two NBA players as smart as him on the court. Rondo faced Kobe Bryant and lost a final against him, but won a championship title with LeBron.

The former Lakers champion also stated that he and LeBron James had a plan before knowing their NBA Finals, as he was going to outsmart the Celtics coach if Boston made it to the Finals, and LeBron was going to do the same if the Heat made it, which eventually happened. Both knew their rival coaches because of their past with those teams.

LeBron James and Rondo plan for the 2020 NBA Finals

“This goes back to the bubble when me and Bron were in the bubble,” Rondo began. “We’re watching the game. I think it was Miami and Boston again. And we were sitting in the room watching the game, and like I said, it went down to the wire. So, Bron’s like, ‘If we get Miami, I got Spo, and if we get Boston, you got Brad [Stevens].’ So that was kind of our mindset. It wasn’t like, ‘Oh, we’re gonna beat the Heat, or we’re gonna beat the [Boston] Celtics.’ It was more so if we can outcoach or outplay the coaches on that staff in particular, which two guys we felt that we knew pretty good, we were gonna win.”
