It hasn't been an easy road for the Lakers since the 2020 championship title, as they haven't been able to replicate the success they had that year at the 'Bubble.'
Several players have come and gone, one of them arrived for the 2020-21 season when the team looked strong enough to win back-to-back the championship until injuries prevented the team from happening.
The longtime NBA journey shooting guard Ben McLemore, who played for the Los Angeles Lakers from 2020-21, has inked a one-year contract with Greek and Basketball Champions League club AEK Athens, according to Ennio Terrasi Borghesan of Sportando.
McLeMore now joins the group of former Lakers that hasn't been able to find a spot in an NBA team and have to look elsewhere, just like Dwight Howard who is playing in Taiwan, Michael Beasley who is playing in China, or Carmelo Anthony who decided to put an end to his career.
The GM Rob Pelinka is now building a roster that has the perfect mix of young raw talent with experienced players to pursue the championship title in the next season and beyond.
