Just when everything seem lost for the Lakers in the 2022-23 season, GM Rob Pelinka was able to pull off some of the best trades to instantly improve the roster and made it a championship contender.

The team was able to pass from the 13th seed in the west to the 7th, and after defeating the Timberwolves in the play-in, LA had a good postseason run that ended in the WCF with a loss against the now NBA champions the Denver Nuggets.

One of the players that came out of the moves before the trade deadline was Jarred Vanderbilt, whose defensive game helped the team to advance to the WCF, but he is now set to have a coming-off-the-bench role to Rui Hachimura.

Hachimura has been working out since the offseason started, he is looking slimmer and faster, algo his jumping shots have greatly improved and fans believe the Japanese wing could become the x-factor that helps the team to win a new NBA championship title in the upcoming season.

Rui Hachimura was re-signed for 51M

Hachimura decided not to participate in the upcoming FIBA World Cup with Japan, as he is working out for his next season with the Lakers, especially after re-signing a three-year 51 million deal.
