The current offseason has been great for the Lakers, thanks to the signings made by GM Rob Pelinka, which includes a young center that got the approval of Anthony Davis but he is looking forward to playing with the other team's star: LeBron James.

While recently Rob Pelinka stated that they continue to pursue signing another center to their roster, as they want to repeat the strategy that worked for them in 2020 of playing with two bigs at the same time, they first signed Jaxson Hayes after asking Anthony Davis about it.

Hayes is excited to play for the purple and gold and has now opened up about who he is looking forward to playing with: LeBron James. “Being a kid from Ohio, I used to watch LeBron growing up. It’s definitely going to be pretty wild having LeBron as a teammate. Me and him have talked a lot throughout the years since I started playing, we had a bet a few years ago about my high school beating his high school in the state championship and then COVID shut that down. So, yeah, we never got to finish out that bet, but hopefully we can."

“My favorite Kobe [and] Bron memory was when I was in fourth grade, I went up to Cleveland to go watch a Lakers versus Cavs game and I want to say Bron and Kobe both had like over 30 [points] and it was the coolest day of my life as a kid.” Said Hayes.

Jaxson Hayes could become a starter in Coach Ham's lineup

It has been reported by the NBA insider Jovan Buha that the Lakers are thinking of making Jaxson a starter alongside Anthony Davis. This would mean to have the Japanese wing in a coming off-the-bench role.
