D'Angelo Russell has been the starting point guard for the Lakers, but with the new signing of Gabe Vincent things could change for coach Ham, as recent reports by NBA insider Jovan Buha indicate the coaching staff wants to wait for training camp to make a decision.

D'Angelo Russell was an upgrade last season after the trade deadline over Russell Westbrook, who was a major failure with the purple and gold during his year-and-a-half stint.

But the postseason run for D-Lo didn't meet the high expectations and didn't help the team to avoid being swept by the Nuggets. Now that Vincent is the new Point Guard, the new Laker has been putting up the hard work to get the starting role over Russell.

Vincent recently posted a night workout at the Lakers facility, and today the pictures of his hard work continue, showing he is going all-in after signing for 33M with the Lakers to get the starting role over D'Angelo Russell.

Austin Reaves will also be competing for a PG role

Not only Russell of Vincent but Austin Reaves is set to have more playing time as a point guard, which means the competition for that position got harder for all involved. This could help coach Ham for his players to bring their best version to earn a spot on the starting lineup.
