One of the critical pieces for the Lakers to win the 2020 championship bubble by first defeating the Denver Nuggets in the WCF of that year was the size of Center Dwight Howard, who could stop Nikola Jokic.
The Lakers failed to do the same this year; Dwight isn't on the team. Howard couldn't find an NBA team to play for in the current 2022-23 season and had to fly to Taiwan to find a team and play there.
Still, Dwight dreams of returning to the NBA and playing for teams like the Lakers, as he didn't want to leave LA or even help, the Kings contend for a championship title.
"I'm not retired from the NBA just yet," Howard told The OBSERVER. “I would love to help the Sacramento Kings contend for a title. Even though I believe their team is pretty much set.”
After not finding an NBA team for the 2022-23 season, Dwight Howard heavily considered retirement and had the option to turn down becoming a wrestler in the WWE as he got a proposal. But he finally got an opportunity to continue playing basketball, this time away and far from the USA, in the Taiwanese Basketball League.
