The Los Angeles Lakers new center had the seal of approval from Anthony Davis to be the team's new "Dwight Howard"

Recently, the Lakers GM Rob Pelinka spoke about one of their most recent signings that is exciting the fans, as the front office and coach Ham want to use the strategy that worked for the team in the 2020 championship title.

To use two bigs like JaVale McGee and Dwight Howard, Pelinka spoke to Anthony Davis, who approved the signing of the young center Jaxson Hayes, so the two size players could fill those roles.

Hayes has said that playing for the Purple and Gold is a dream come true and that he is excited to play alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis and pursue the NBA championship title.

Pelinka signed Hayes to be the new "Dwight Howard" of the team; now, they are still looking to add another center to become the team's backup. Some fans think that role should go to the rookie Colin Castleton, but a decision has yet to be made.

Anthony Davis is the key to the Lakers winning a championship title

The Lakers have depth now. Still, they rely on what Anthony Davis does on the court, and even when he has been criticized for his injury record, he continues to have outstanding numbers that prove his detractors wrong.
