In 2018 LeBron James shocked the NBA world when it was announced that he was joining the Lakers in their pursuit of their 17th Championship, but when the time came that James and his former Heat teammate Dwyane Wade were going play their last game facing each other as the Miami legend was retiring.

The truth was that James was not close to signing with the Knicks. Rather, he mentioned The Garden because it’s one of the most historic arenas in the world.
