The Los Angeles Lakers have been able to turn things around after that fatal 2-10 season starter record that was looking to be a copy-paste outcome from the previous campaign.
But things had come a long way since that, as the team started winning, especially after the trade deadline and more when Russell Westbrook left the team for good.
A lot of speculation came out since the 2021-2022 season ended, but Russ stayed for the start of the 2022-23 campaign. Thought while improving some, it finally ended up broken as the coaching staff, and the PG got issues that couldn't be solved.
The Lakers made 3-team trade as they gave Russell Westbrook and a first-round pick; instead, they got three players, Malik Beasley, D'Angelo Russell, and Jarred Vanderbilt. The Lakers are 14-8 since the Russell Westbrook trade, without having LeBron James and Dlo for several games. With Russ, the team ended with a 25-30 record.
