The Los Angeles Lakers chose the perfect time to make the official announcement of the Kobe Bryant statue unveiling outside the Crypto.com Arena with a video featuring Vanessa Bryant.

The statue will be unveiled on 2/8/24 in honor of Kobe Bryant's jersey numbers that wore during his NBA career with the Lakers, also the statue has been reported to include his daughter Gigi Bryant who passed with him during the tragic helicopter crash accident.

The Lakers Nation has reacted as many think it was about time for the purple and gold to give this honor to the greatest Laker of all time. Common comments online are "It's about time," "We miss you, Kobe," "Forever Mamba and Mambacita," and much more.

The Lakers GM and close Kobe's friend Rob Pelinka reacted to the news on the upcoming statue "Kobe's transcendent spirit is always and forever in our hearts - inspiring us every day. And now, with the unveiling of this powerful and beautiful statue, he will have a physical presence, too. A place on the hallowed ground Kobe created, where we can all gather and pay honor to a mighty and great man."
