By James Brown
Entering this season for the Los Angeles Lakers the narrative was of LeBron James handing the keys of the reign to Anthony Davis, something the players and the team's organization have been trying to do ever since AD arrived in LA. The front office extended Davis with a 3-year and $186 million deal.
LeBron James being 38 years old, almost 39, was set to continue giving his best performances but Anthony Davis being the ultimate leader and the best player, showing the team the path, but it has been the other way around.
Anthony Davis is a great player, one of the best in the league, but between being injury-prone and his inconsistency, he hasn't been that player for the Lakers this season, unlike LeBron James who once again is the player that is putting over his shoulders the team showing some amazing performances in the NBA.
Kevin Garnett gives now a harsh reality check to Anthony Davis while giving the ultimate praise to LeBron James: "It's still LeBron's team... looks bouncier than AD... he looks younger." The Boston champion said to Stephen A. Smith who agreed.
What LeBron James has been doing is so unbelievable, that Stephen A. Smith became honest with Garnett hinting to question himself over Michael Jordan still being his GOAT, which tells you everything about how great the Los Angeles Lakers have been doing on his year 21 in the league with 38 years old, days away from turning 39.
