The LA Lakers were the team that drafted D'Angelo Russell but is now having his second stint with the team and showing his love to the franchise.

Despite not having the greatest first stint with the LA Lakers, D'Angelo Russell is redeeming himself with his second stint with the team, even when his postseason performances weren't all that great.

D-Lo is now showing that he is a Laker for life and that he has purple and gold on his blood, as his son's "rookie" year of life, (first year old) has just turned one, and Russell did something special for his first birthday.

D'Angelo threw a Lakers-themed birthday party for his one-year-old son. Russell, his wife, and his son, all donned the Lakers jersey with the number one on it as a celebration of his son's birthday.

D'Angelo Russell wants to stay in Los Angeles

Despite the rumors that had D-Lo out of LA, he was resigned for two years and 37 million. But many in the NBA media think that the team could trade him later in the regular season if Russell doesn't meet the expectations set on him.
