This Saturday marked a historic milestone for the San Antonio Spurs icon Manu Ginobili, becoming the first Argentine to be named into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Since Manu's debut in the NBA, he could stand out because of his talent, skills, and hunger for winning. Something that made Lakers icon Kobe Bryant to recognized Manu's talent and gave some praise.

Another iconic Lakers idol, Magic Johnson, has sent a heartfelt congratulatory message for the new Hall of Famer Ginobili via Twitter: "To one of the most unstoppable players to ever play in the NBA, Manu Ginóbili, congratulations on your induction into the Naismith Basketball HOF!" Magic wrote in his tweet.

Ginobili was a force to be reckoned with during his basketball career in the NBA. A lot of significant NBA figures have been recognized and praised. Like the previously mentioned Kobe Bryant and Magic Johnson. Is no doubt that if the greats have kind words for Manu, it is because he deserves it.

Lakers icons to be part of the Hall of Fame

It is no surprise that the Lakers having a rich long story in the NBA full of greatness and 17 championships, is one of the teams with most players' names in the Hall of Fame. About 29 players that have been part of the Lakers' history have been inducted into the HOF. To name a few: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Elgin Baylor, Kobe Bryant, Wilt Chamberlain, Magic Johnson, Shaquille O'Neal, Dennis Rodman, Jerry West, and much more.
