After 20 years in the NBA, LeBron James has made a name for himself as one of the greatest players of all time, even considered to be the number one over Michael Jordan for many, still, he isn't the highest-paid star in the league.

That place currently belongs to Stephen Curry with an annual $51,915,615 million salary, but not for so long as Jaylen Brown in the next years will be earning around 60 million per year, and from 2025 to 2028 the Lakers star, and LeBron's teammate, Anthony Davis will become the highest paid NBA player with an annual salary of 62 million dollars.

At the moment, LeBron James is the fourth best-paid NBA player in the league with an annual salary of $47,607,350 million that the Lakers paid him. But in the list of the highest paid Small Forwards, LeBron James sits at the number one place.

LeBron James will suit up as the starting small forward for the Los Angeles Lakers next season and that will mean he is the highest-paid at his position. The King is still the best in the world at his position and as long as he doesn't somehow decline considerably, no small forward will impact the game as much as he does.

LeBron James continues to be the face of the league and the Lakers

Far more than the impact on the court, LeBron James is a money-making machine for the Lakers. He sells out seats in the stadium, and jerseys off the court, and brings a ton of media attention that is needed for business purposes. Even if the attention sometimes negatively affects the production of the team, there is no doubt that LeBron is still the face of the league and that won't change until he rides off into the sunset.
