Moving Reaves aside, James Worthy picks the player he's most excited to see

After the amazing offseason that the Lakers had thanks to the movements made by GM Rob Pelinka and coach Ham, the 3-times NBA champion and Lakers legend James Worthy has picked the player he is most excited to see in the next season to bring the X-factor to the team.

The Lakers had a rocky start in the last season with a 2-10 record, but things changed when different players arrived at the trade deadline to change the dynamic, energy, and overall chemistry.

Rui Hachimura was one of them, who made a great impression, especially in the postseason run where he show improvement thanks to his work with Phil Handy.

For James Worthy, "You know, I'm a huge Austin Reaves fan, but that's behind me now, he's the man. Rui, to me, improved where he was a threat and an impact player, he made a difference in a lot of positions, he can shoot from 3, he can pull stops, he can defend centers that are bigger than him, and his size and his shoulders and his ability to shut off, his consistency is something I'm excited to see."

The Lakers made it a priority to bring back Rui Hachimura

As James Worthy said, the Lakers were impressed with the growth and improvement of Rui Hachimura at the end of the last season, making him a must to be re-signed early in the offseason as the Japanese wing became a free agent. The Lakers signed Rui with a 3-year 51 million contract.
