The ‘GOAT’ debate will probably never end. Right now, it seems that there are only two clear candidates to claim the title. LeBron James and Michael Jordan. The scale seems to be tilting in Jordan's favor as he has more titles and more MVPs, but according to NBA analyst Rob Parker, he believes there i a way LeBron can finally end the debate.

"His (Jordan) peak was obviously higher than LeBron, but if LeBron can play – I don't know what it would be – my gosh, 26 years, or what? He's entering his 20th (year). So, 25 years at a high level and have at least as many championships, if not more, that's when the case really could shift his way,” explained the analyst on his podcast ‘The Odd Couple’.

LeBron James now has a new goal in mind for the upcoming years

LeBron James' argument for greatest of all time began when he won his third MVP and third NBA championship back in 2016. Then his argument grew in the 2020 season when he won both another MVP and another NBA championship. Still, he was less than Jordan, but if he won one more of each, at age 38 or more, then the balance could change in favor of LeBron.

"Now, I don't think it'll happen. ... I don't think he's gonna win another championship. But if that were to happen, I think that'd be a strong argument," concluded Rob Parker, as the Lakers don't seem to have a good enough roster to compete for the championship.

LeBron James GOAT argument

It seems that LeBron James will not be able to finish his career as the player with the most MVPs or NBA championships. But he can be the player that leads almost every major category by the end of his career.
