Not Luka Doncic, but a former Laker is the rival Reaves is looking forward to facing in FIBA WC

In the showcase games that Team USA has had, one of them was against Slovenia, but their star Luka Doncic didn't play it as a precaution, and many fans were disappointed as they wanted to see a face-off with the Mavs star and the Lakers guard Austin Reaves of Team USA.

But it seems that Reaves isn't looking forward to a potential game against Slovenia, but he wants to play against a former Lakers star, as both were close to being teammates with Team Germany.

Before receiving the call to be part of the USA Basketball national team, by having dual citizenship, Austin considered the possibility of playing for team Germany alongside his then purple and gold teammate Dennis Schröder.

Dennis and Austin are no longer teammates in LA, and with Reaves accepting to play for Team USA, both stars are now rivals and the young guard is looking forward to playing today's game against his former teammate.
