They were foes for a long time, then in LA became BFF, and now they could play in the same team again, but not the Lakers anymore

Before the trade deadline, the Los Angeles Lakers made several movements to their team roster, and two of the most notable names that left the team via trade were the PGs Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverley.

Westbrook was traded to the Utah Jazz, and Patrick Beverley to the Orlando Magic. But both players seem to play in other teams, and while the Jazz is close to waiving Russell Westbrook, the Magic is already waiving Patrick Beverley so he can find a new team to play for the rest of the season.

Russell Westbrook has been the constant rumor about the upgrade the LA Clippers one to make, and Russ is a native of the city makes sense. A new report suggests Patrick Beverley will also play for the Clippers.

The reason why the  Clippers are hesitating on signing them

"As part of the Clippers' ongoing roster evaluation, the Clippers have held conversations with buyout candidates such as Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverley to gauge whether the goals of the players and teams align. For now, those check-ins appear to be more about diligence than imminence, with the Clippers seen as being patient before a move, if any, materializes. However, skepticism remains that any available guard would be seen as an upgrade from the options already on the roster," The Los Angeles Times Andrew Greif wrote based on his experience.
