Just when the fans were about to lost faith in the Lakers the last season, GM Rob Pelinka pulled off some great moves ahead of the trade deadline that included the return to Los Angeles of the PG D'Angelo Russell.

D'Angelo Russell was an immediate upgrade from Russell Westbrook who didn't fit with Lebron James and Anthony Davis and became one of the most expensive failed experiments in LA in recent memory.

D-Lo had some impressive performances to help the team turn things around at the end of the regular season, even when his game faded in the postseason, he still was a valuable player for the team, but fans were hard on him and Russell has fired back at them in the latest episode of former Laker Pat Bev's podcast.

"This might have been the best year Dlo ever had shooting-wise," said Beverley. "And they ain't talking about it bruh," said Russell. "I don't understand, f**k I gotta do Pat. Y'all want me to play point guard, I played point guard. Y'all want me to play shooting guard, what y'all want from me? I shoot 30 from three, 40 from three, what y'all want? You want me to win a game in the last two minutes too? I'm just gonna stay humble."

D'Angelo Russell could lose his starting role to Gabe Vincent

Even when Russell thinks that he is giving some of his best performances with the Lakers, the PG could see a new coming off-the-bench role as coach Ham's newest signing, Gabe Vincent just played the NBA Finals and could steal D-Lo's role at training camp according to recent reports.
