The Los Angeles Lakers have signed Anthony Davis with a max extension of three years and 186M, believing that he is the future face of the franchise once the LeBron James era is gone and done.

While no one wants LeBron James to retire, many in the Lakers organization are trusting Davis to become the leader of the team in years to come to win more championships for LA.

The Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce believes Anthony Davis will win the MVP award sometime in the next couple of years, as he thinks that is better than Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic, the previous two MVP winners.

Pierce also thinks that AD could beat the Nuggets and win another championship title, if he stops playing Robin to LeBron James' Batman, and becomes Batman instead. Paul says this not as a disrespect to LeBron, but an understanding of the game and James' age, as believes AD improves the King's performances.

What Anthony Davis needs to do to go to the next level

Anthony Davis is a top 5 NBA player, but to win another championship with the Lakers and win some awards like MVP  or DPY, he needs to take the reigns of the purple and gold over LeBron James, stay healthy, and being consistent every single game instead of giving a monster performance in one scoring 40+ points to the next one kind of disappear and have an 11 points game.
