Philippines fans adore Austin Reaves but their chants put him in an awkward position

Austin Reaves has become a phenomenon in this FIBA World Cup, as the Philipines NBA fans love the LA Lakers franchise, and because of that, they have welcomed the purple and gold star with open arms.

The Lakers guard had a meteoric rise in his second year in the NBA, and now that he is playing the FIBA World Cup with Team USA that has translated to the Philipines, the Country that is hosting the tournament.

Recently, Reaves gave a presentation on Rigorer, the Chinese sports brand with whom the Lakers guard has his endorsement deal, and recently released his first signature shoe, which sold out in minutes.

In the event, the fans asked if he was single and his answer "No" turned it into an awkward but hilarious moment as the Philipines crowd started to chant "Taylor Swift!" which made Reaves give an embarrassing smile.

In the second game for Team USA at the FIBA World Cup, the United States dominated Greece, and Austin Reaves once again had a coming-off-the-bench role to be the best player and scorer of the game, winning the Best Player of the Game award.
