The Los Angeles Lakers are getting ready for the next season and GM Rob Pelinka has even gone further when building the team that he is also thinking ahead of time and preparing the roster for the future.

Not only Lakers have the signings of Gabe Vincent, Cam Reddish, Taurean Prince, and Jaxson Hayes, but also brought back for many years players like Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, and D'Angelo Russell.

Besides them, Pelinka also managed to sign the two drafted rookies Jalen Hood-Schifino and Maxwell Lewis and got signed with a two-way the undrafted players Colin Castleton, D'Moi Hodge, and Alex Fudge. The Latter got to shine in the Summer League tournament and 'stole' the two-way spot previously held by the sharpshooter Cole Swider.

Fudge is now part of the Lakers organization but it was a long journey to get to this point, as he recently opened up about, via South Bay Lakers: “The process was a lot of work, I remember leaving school and starting my journey with the workouts and then after the workouts, I had probably five. I went to the Chicago Combine, from there it was just a grind. There everyday, just making sure I’m giving it 110 percent and then after that more workouts. I was blessed to get a workout with the Lakers, they brought me back and they seen what they wanted and brought me back for the Summer League and went up from there.”

Alex Fugde believes he is ready to make a statement with the Lakers

“Summer League was something I took advantage of, I really enjoyed the opportunity and had a passion to be there. I loved it, from day one when we first got there, even before we went to Sacramento and played our games. I mean, it was just an experience to be there and play alongside a group of great guys, so it means a lot seeing the people that came through this organization. I mean, it’s a lot to look up to, it’s a lot to model after, it’s a lot to be a part of. I’m here and I’m ready to make a statement.” Said the Year one rookie Alex Fudge
