With the time almost running out before training camp commences, the Los Angeles Lakers GM Rob Pelinka wants to complete the team's roster in time for HC Darvin Ham to have enough time to prepare.

Pelinka and his people are currently in ‘ongoing negotiations’ with the Utah Jazz to achieve a blockbuster trade-in time. Bojan Bogdanovic has been constantly named to be traded into the purple and gold. But it can be more to it.

More Lakers news:

The pressure of the Lakers fandom has been constant in their desire for Westbrook to be traded. Pelinka knows it, and also, to keep true to his promise of signing LeBron with an extension of building a contending team, needs a blockbuster trade.

The Lakers are still looking to trade Westbrook for Bojan Bogdanovic and Jordan Clarkson. Maybe even compromising their two most coveted first-round picks of 2027 and 2029. This is the primary intention of Pelinka, but after what ensued with the Cavs stealing Donovan Mitchell, anything can happen.

Another former Lakers player has been rumored.

If Rob Pelinka's plan for the blockbuster trade fails, the other name on the table is the rumored return of European Dennis Schröder, who is supposed to reunite with the Lakers front office. And with his daughter sporting his Lakers jersey, the talk about his turn increased.
